Plan B will be showcasing its new disaster recovery services at Cloud Expo Europe, held at London ExCel on the 12th and 13th April. The event, which is the world’s biggest cloud event, hosted over 15,000 IT decision makers last year, and boasts industry leading cloud providers demonstrating the latest in cloud technologies. Plan B will be showcasing a number of new services, including:

  1. Its new DRaaS service which boasts instant recovery times with RPO’s of as little as 6 seconds thanks to the introduction of Zerto’s continuous replication solution. Plan B is renowned for its unique approach of recovering and testing systems to application level in advance of an IT failure in order to guarantee instant recovery times. They will now be the only provider to take replications of virtual machines using the Zerto technology and apply their unique overlay and fix-up technology, test the replications to application level daily and offer their money-back recovery guarantee to customers. Plan B guarantees recoveries will be fully successful within just a few minutes of an IT failure. This fully managed service will leave the customer without any doubt that their IT recovery will be successful when required. Furthermore, Plan B can create a bespoke service for customers with a mixture of physical and virtual machines, giving them a single source disaster recovery solution.
  2. A new ‘Cloud Protector’ service. Designed to help SaaS providers improve sales conversion rates, Plan B’s ‘Cloud Protector’ service will safeguard their customers against the eventuality that they run into financial difficulties, by taking over the running of their software service. It works by taking regular copies of the SaaS provider’s systems and holding a fully working copy offsite on an independent platform. Should the SaaS provider be unable to maintain service (whether due to IT issues or financial difficulties) then Plan B can take over the running of the systems to provide SaaS assurance to the end customer. The Escrow agreement will be a contractual agreement safeguarding the customer, which reduces their risk when investing in a SaaS supplier and making it easier for them to commit to the SaaS provider.
